This stunning Phantom Discovery Quartz has interesting inclusions of kaolinite and hematite. Look closely and you can see an unknown mineral in the shape of a cube. There are rainbow flecks along the bottom edge and just above the phantom point.
This crystal point is self-standing at a diagonal angle. This crystal displays very well, with a bold termination and the phantom visible even from a distance.

In 2019 we visited a mine near Chongwe Zambia and we were able to get some kilos of samples with very special phantoms.
In March 2020, as the world melted, we got a message while at the airport in Johannes. The news was bad. Zambia would require is to quarantine for 14 days.
We had bold ambitions for our trip but this leg was quickly scuttled.
We had plans to visit this mine but we failed. However our team was able to send us a parcel of these unusually included quartz.
We stayed in touch with the community miners who sent us a large parcel in October 2020.
