Jouravskite is a rare mineral mined in very limited quantities.
It is a secondary mineral found on other minerals, in this case xonotlite and bustamite.

The original locality of Jouravskite is found in North Africa. It was discovered in 1992 in the Kalahari Manganese Fields and since has come out in very limited quantities.
It was only been discovered in 6 localities worldwide, one in Morocco, two in Jordan and three in South Africa.
