An authentic Himba Neckring from Namibia.
In 2012, Nharo did a project collecting objects of cultural attire from the Himba community in and around Opuwo, Kunene, Namibia.

The Ombuena is worn by a young woman from the time of menarche until the birth of the first child. The piece is composed of white seed beads and covered with otjize, a mixture of ochre, fat and herbs. This ombuena was originally worn in Opuwo and collected in 2012 by Nharo.
