"Hunter and Huntress" set of 2 Busts, Butter Jade, signed by Farai Mangenda, Shona Sculpture from Canon Paterson Craft Society, Mbare, Zimbabwe
This Shona Sculpture from Zimbabwe was carved by Farai Mangenda, and signed by the prolific sculptor from the Chitungwiza Art Centre in Zimbabwe.
This beautiful set is carved in butter jade, and is a creamy yellow streaked with lines and veins of light and dark green, darker yellow and brown. The soft expressions on this duo of hunters symbolizes their empathy to the plight of the animal kingdom, and their connection to the earth. They gaze benevolently at their subjects.
