“Running Leopard”, Leopard Rock Serpentine by Mike Kakweza, Shona Sculpture, Zimbabwe, Africa
African Leopard, Leopard Rock Serpentine by Mike Kakweza, Shona Sculpture, Zimbabwe, Africa.--
Over the years our customers have always marveled at the beautiful Leopard Rock Leopards made by Micheal Kakweza. Mike has a small workshop we love to visit in Budirio, a small suburb of Harare.
Mike’s work is best when he can spend time at the mine selecting very specific pieces. Leopard Rock is a hard stone in the world of Shona artworks and Mike sometimes brag that he can cut it “like butter”.
