The Canon Paterson Craft Society, Zimbabwe`s oldest art co-operative. Based in Mbare, Zimbabwe, the artists faced many struggles through the economic crisis of hyperinflation. At a time when there was no money we made a deal with the group to buy all the pieces in 2008. From those days we have gone back and continue to work with the artisans including Tawanda Mataranyika.
This bust is carved from serpentine and represents a Shona Chief.
The bust is signed on the back in short as Tawanda Matara.
