It was almost 10 years ago now when I took this photo at Eaton’s Farm between D’Kar and Ghanzi in Botswana. Dada (Co’exae Qgam) and I traveled to consult with the Shaman. The rattles he’s wearing made from silk moth (Gonometa postica) cocoons. The noise created when the feet are stamped against the ground is part of the trance dancing ceremony. We have Tsorosi, the Ju/’hoansi word for the rattles, from Botswana available for sale.
